A place to be proud of even generations to generations. “A place you call our own Ilocos Sur our beloved home.” Yes! Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is one of the famous festivals in Ilocos Sur. It celebrates Ilocos Sur’s abundant culture and traditions, and its separation from Ilocos Norte. Kannawidan is a place showcasing talents, brains, beauties, and creative hospitality that we are Filipinos especially Ilocano’s have. It usually celebrates every last week of January upto to 2nd week of February of the year. Kannawidan Festival shows supports to the One Town One product of every municipality. OTOP was displayed to the public to showcased their unique products made and produced by the people living in the municipality. Kannawidan Festival celebration highlights the culture, customs and traditions of Ilocanos. Preserving the cultures and traditions of Indigenous People of Aplan Municipaties with their gongs as musical instruments and abel iloco as costumes. One of the big event is the Search for Miss Saniata Ilocos Sur wherein the Ilocana beauties are competing for the crown showcasing their wit and talents that will represent the province for National Beauty pageants.
